Sigurd Peter von Arenstorff Vilstrup
February, 1995

My name is Sigurd, I’m 26 years old and currently studying a master in engineering called Technology Based Business Development. I’ve already completed my bachelors in electrical engineering from Aarhus University, where i also completed a short business specilization course.

I mainly focus on the bridge between the technical and business perspectives in companies, but enjoy the act of being able to create something myself, therefore the very technical bachelors in electrical engineering. Throughout my studies I’ve worked with healthcare, AI, process management, and blockchain. Currently I’m creating a blockchain that is to be used as an education tool in companies looking to integrate blockchain and educational institutions (such as Aarhus University) that want to teach what a blockchain is and how it can be used.

Interests
I’m very much a “project person”, meaning that i almost always have a bunch of different project in the air at the same time. This, in combination with me being a poor student, means that i’ve developed a lot of surface-level skills that aren’t necesarilly normal. I’ve spent a lot of time doing graphic design, music, woodworking, webdesign, photography, and more. Everytime a project comes up, I strive to go above and beyond expectations of everyone, to a degree where the effort is part of the satisfaction of the project.

In my free time I do a lot of different things, I follow Esports and play some computer myself. I like to stay in shape, and I’m very competetive. Another interest that I keep forgetting about in this time of covid is skiing, I lived in Canada for 6 months to ski during one of my gap years.

I have a very STEM oriented education from my GCSE all the through my bachelor – my masters is a bit more business oriented.

Professional Experiences

2014 – 2016: I worked in Post Danmark as a mailman, delivering letters and packages by bike, scooter, and car (Paused while in Canada).
2015: I worked in Misty Mountain Pizza in Canada where i gained invaluable people and english skills.
2015: Voluntarily conscribed in the Royal Danish Navy I worked on the bridge of an Ocean Patrol Frigate of the Thetis-class in the North Atlantic Ocean.
2018: Software Developer Intern at Kamstrup where i developed a device to act as an alternative to Segger’s real time transfer (RTT) communication system as well as low level microcontroller maintanence and testing.
